My need was a alarm clock with big numbers.
The numbers in that jumbo Coby CRA 108 are bigger than I imagine, but the brigth doesn't disturb my sleep.

Huge readout at 2". Two levels of light intensity. Viewable from any angle and from across a 20' room and without glasses. Radio is OK and controls are intuitive and easy to set. What is not to like. At 15 bucks at Bed, Bath and Beyond, its disposable if it breaks. We have not had it long, so we'll see how it goes. Very happy though, so far. -- Coby clock radio

Really BIG numbers. Plenty bright, but has 2 brightness levels. Radio leaves a little to be desired, but as an alarm clock, or a clock for those with poor vision, I think this is a good value. -- clock for the sight challenged
