The Equity 30330 has a black LCD readout with a soft green back light. Easy to read yet not annoying at night. The display measures an easy-to-read 1.2 inches and includes day and date on the readout. The " Night Vision" feature allows the readout to"glow" at night despite this being a battery operated clock.

It has a nice 'ascending' alarm. And (when checked against the atomic clock), it seems to keep accurate time. I just wish it had a high/low backlight screen switch because , at least for me, the backlight is 'annoyingly bright' once my eyes get adjusted to the darkness. I also wish that it had a selection to de-activate the backlight when not needed, so as to conserve battry power. It does have a daytime 'de-activtor' sensor, but as soon as it gets a lille dark in the room, the backlight turns on...even if it's not 'bedtime'. I'm certain that this will cause excessive battery wear...which is what happened with another clock I had that had a 'full-time' backlight (even with a daylight 'auto-shutoff' sensor). -- Nice, but could have some other featuers

I love this clock. It glows softly at night, though not enough to bother me while I sleep, and it will glow more brightly if I pass my hand over it. It doesn't glow during the day, I can move it anywhere since it doesn't have a cord, and it's a good size- not too small, not too big. -- Great alarm clock

Was looking for a battery powered clock that was lit at night so I didn't have to do anything more than glance at it.
This product fits my requirements and is simple and straight forward to use. -- Simple and functional

This was the only battery powered clock with a backlit display that I could find. I wanted to be able to see the time in the middle of the night in my motorhome, when not hooked up to "shore power," and without having to fumble for a clock in the dark and then press a button to illuminate the display. The green backlight is pleasant and easy to view in the dark. As another review mentioned, the display is not so easy to read in the daytime, when the backlight automatically goes off. This is not a problem for me since I have many clocks easily seen during daylight hours. I am really pleased with this clock and the solution it provides for my RVing situation. I was also happy that the clock I received runs on 3AA batteries rather than 1 9volt. -- Great for RV
