I purchased this to replace a different brand which had an automatic DST feature that messed up twice a year (spring and fall). So I wanted just a simple, good dual alarm radio. I love this one. The radio reception is great, the alarm is good, starts out low and gets louder. I wish I could set it differently for Monday through Friday than for weekends, but that's not a show stopper, and I did want a simple radio/alarm. -- Simple but effective

The alarm clock is the perfect brightness -- it doesn't act as a night light in a dark room, but I can see it easily in all light levels. It's also a good size, as I don't like bulky alarm clocks. My only complaint is that it can take a while to change the alarm time. There are no separate buttons for hour and minute, and even at top speed it doesn't cycle through the minutes fast enough to change the alarm by several hours. It makes it an annoyance when I just want to take a short nap in the middle of the day. However, it's still the best alarm clock I've owned. -- Almost Everything I Needed

clock works fine, though i have another similar model (RP5400B) that has an adjustment for the brightness of the numbers which is nice.
