User Reviews about Sangean RS-330 Digital AM FM Clock Radio
I purchased both the 330 and a 332 companion unit. I really love the slow volume increase for alarms - that works great. The sound quality is quite good but not super. My biggest complaint is that both units put out a low level hum that can be very annoying for a light sleeper, especially in the quiet of the night. Also, you cannot set each unit to individual radio stations - the alarm defaults to the first preset button for both units. If you like having your stations saved in numerical order you will be dissappointed unless you want to awake to the lowest or highest radio station frequency. The radio wake up volume is a completely different volume control to the master control and is located on the back as a very small knob - very inconvenient and makes no sense. Since each unit has a volume control it makes is hard to set both unit volumes to the exact same volume for best stereo effect. I connected the unit to my iPod and it had good sound, however on the silent spaces you could hear some crosstalk in the form of a radio station playing ever so slightly in the background. All in all, if it wasn't for the constant hum I might like these units.

I was looking for a clock radio with buttons to set radio stations, making it easier to change stations. I was also having problems with fuzzy receptions on my old Brookstone radio. Reception is fine when I use the antenna. My only complaint is that there is no volume control on the radio when it is used for an alarm. To lower the volume you have to turn off the alarm and turn on the radio. My cat now enjoys NPR all day when I forget to turn off the radio in the morning before I leave for work. -- It does what I wanted
All in all this is a great clock radio, very well designed. The one flaw I've found is that the SNOOZE is fixed at 5 minutes. Some of us find that too short and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust it. One nice feature is that even with headphones plugged in, it still wakes to the radio. Normally plugging in headphones cuts off the external sound, but the alarm is an exception. Well designed, in this respect at least. Also nice is that the alarm sound gradually gets louder.
-- Great clock radio but limited snooze
I purchased this item seven months ago and I remain convinced that this is probably the best item that I have ever purchased from Amazon (I'm a regular customer). It is accurate and reliable with excellent sound quality. I find the settings easy to use and the screen easy to read. After many years of searching, I have found a clock radio that provides me with both pleasure and dependability. -- Finally, a first rate clock radio
